Understanding that we don’t own, and that we’re not responsible for the content of the fantasies buried in our unconscious sets us free. It prevents us from experiencing shame about our sexuality.

And accepting that these hideous images that sometime leak through the defences of our ego, and manifest in the conscious, are a part of our tribal heritage is the best way to connect with our primal energies, and realise ourselves completely.

No wonder Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is so powerful. It perfectly seizes the underlying archetype on which it is constructed.
